The fixes remove the reason for consent instead of asking for it. Each one is a single click on CookieSure → Fixes, and each can be undone.
Google Fonts
When fonts load from fonts.googleapis.com, every visitor’s IP address goes to Google. Choose one option:
- Host on my site: CookieSure downloads the font CSS and files your site already uses, once, and serves them from your server. Your site looks the same.
- Remove them: the Google Fonts links are removed and your theme falls back to its other fonts.
- Leave as is: nothing changes.
After a change, CookieSure clears known page caches. If your site still shows the old links, clear your cache plugin or CDN once.
Click-to-load embeds
Turn on click-to-load for YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps, Spotify, SoundCloud, X, Instagram and TikTok. The embed is replaced by a light placeholder with a Play video or Load button. The real player loads only after the visitor clicks.
- YouTube and Vimeo preview images are downloaded once and stored on your site.
- The Elementor video widget is covered too.
- When a visitor clicks, their browser loads the embed from the provider, as your page would have done anyway.
Hidden calls to other servers
- Gravatar avatars: stops loading comment avatars from gravatar.com.
- WordPress emoji: stops the emoji script that loads images from s.w.org.
- DNS prefetch to s.w.org: removes the hint that makes browsers contact WordPress.org.
If a fix does not show on your site
- Old pages from a cache. Clear your cache plugin, hosting cache or CDN once, then reload the page in a private window.
- Fonts loaded by a theme setting. Some themes add Google Fonts in their own settings. CookieSure catches the usual ways; if a font still loads from Google, turn off the theme’s Google Fonts option too.
- An embed inside a script. Click-to-load covers embeds in your page HTML. Videos added later by another script may still load; run the scan again to check.

Will hosting Google Fonts locally break my design?
No. CookieSure serves the same font files your site already uses and only changes where they load from.
Do I still need consent for a video after click-to-load?
The click itself is the visitor’s choice to load the video. The placeholder says that the provider may set cookies once it loads.
Can I undo a fix?
Yes. Every fix can be switched back on the Fixes screen, and the site returns to how it loaded before.
