CookieSure Pro is an add-on: it runs next to the free plugin and adds its features to the same screens. Keep the free plugin installed and active.
Install Pro
- After your purchase, download the Pro zip from the email or from your Freemius account.
- In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now.
- Click Activate. If the free CookieSure plugin is not active yet, WordPress asks you to install it first.
Activate your licence
- Go to CookieSure → Licence.
- Paste the licence key from your purchase email and click activate.
- Pro features appear on the Scan, Stats, Banner, Fixes and Log screens.
Move a licence to another site
Open CookieSure → Licence on the old site and deactivate it there, then activate the key on the new site. You can also manage your sites in your Freemius account.
When a licence ends
Pro features switch off. The free plugin, your settings, stats and consent log keep working. Renew any time to switch Pro back on.
If activation does not work
- Check that you pasted the whole key, without spaces at the start or end.
- Your site must be able to reach the internet to activate; some local or locked-down servers block this.
- Out of site slots? Deactivate the licence on a site you no longer use, then try again.

FAQ
Can I use one licence on a staging site?
Each activation uses one site slot. Choose a plan with enough sites for your live and staging sites, or move the licence when you go live.
Where are my invoices?
Invoices, licence keys and renewals are in your Freemius account at users.freemius.com.
Do I need to keep the free plugin after installing Pro?
Yes. Pro adds features to the free plugin, so both stay installed and active.
