The banner is off until you switch it on. Turn it on only if the scan found services that still need consent after the fixes.
Switch it on
- Go to CookieSure → Banner.
- Switch the banner on and pick a layout: Float bar, Corner card, Bottom sheet, Centre with choices, Toast or Top line.
- Watch the Live preview while you change things, then save.

Design and texts
- Match my site reads your theme’s colours and font and applies them in one click.
- Change colours, font, corners, size, button style and position by hand if you prefer.
- Reject and Accept always get the same size and style, as regulators expect.
- Every text can be changed. The banner ships in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian.
Rules per region
CookieSure can treat visitors differently by region:
- EU, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland: ask first (opt-in). Statistics and marketing wait for a yes.
- United States: allow, offer opt-out. Global Privacy Control signals are always respected.
- Rest of the world: ask first by default; you can change it.
Let visitors change their mind
The floating privacy button stays in a corner after a choice so visitors can open their settings again. You can choose its side and an optional label. You can also place a button anywhere with the shortcode [[cookiesure_settings]], for example in your footer or cookie policy.
Good banner habits
- Run the scan first and apply the fixes. The fewer services that need consent, the shorter your banner text.
- Keep the message short and say what you use the data for. Visitors decide faster and complain less.
- Link your cookie or privacy policy from the banner and add the cookie declaration to that page.
- Test in a private window: before a choice, analytics and ad tags should not load.
FAQ
Does the banner slow down my site?
No. The banner script is about 4.9 KB gzipped and loads no outside files.
Can I show different banners on different pages?
Looks per page or language are part of CookieSure Pro, along with six more designs.
Does the banner work with caching?
Yes. The banner and the choice are handled in the visitor’s browser, so cached pages work the same for everyone.
